We have had a fantastic time in London. We have been on the London Eye. There was a amazing view. Afterwards me and Della had a slushie each. I had a strawberry and Della had a blueberry. We went on our first double decker bus ride in London. We have had a fantastic time with our Aunty Becky. We climbed on the lions in Trafalgar Square, did brass rubbings in St Martin in the Fields, and went on our first tube train ride. We caught up with some of Mum's work mates at a really cool park and went to a nearby fair. At the fair we went on a HUGE slide and me and Della got burns on our arms. We also went on some dodgem cars, and I kept on bumping into Della and Dad's dodgem car!

Our overnight flight from Singapore to London was pretty painless, and we all had a decent amount of sleep. The girls were great.
It was wonderful to be back in London, where we had lived from March 2000 till May 2002. And especially good to be reunited with Mathew's sister Becky, who took time off work to spend with us.
We stayed in an airbnb flat in Battersea (https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/1221960), which was only a couple of train stops to Waterloo and not far from Becky's lovely little flat in Clapham. It had been fun staying in hotels in Melbourne and Singapore but we were glad to have access to a washing machine when we hit London, and it was good to be able to cook our own meals.
After a rest, washing, shopping and jetlag recovery day we hit central London on Friday 8 August. The girls had the London Eye and Eiffel Tower high on their Big Trip list and we were able to tick one of them off. Spent a great day around the river and on Saturday had a lovely picnic in Battersea Park with my (not so) old work mates from the early 00s plus partners and kids. So good to catch up again.
